Bharti Infratel gets SEBI’s nod for merger with Indus Towers

Bharti Infratel has received clearance from Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for its merger with Indus Towers. The company will now approach National Company Law Tribunal for its approval.

In April 2018, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone Group had announced an agreement for merger of Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel to create the largest mobile tower operator in the world outside China with over 163,000 towers across 22 telecom service areas.

Bharti Infratel is a provider of tower and related infrastructure, and deploys, owns and manages telecom towers and communication structures for various mobile operators.
