Gujarat Alkalies jumps on starting commercial production at new PAC plant in Vadodara

Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 556.25, up by 2.25 points or 0.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 554.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 556.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 563.10 and Rs. 551.50 respectively. So far 7149 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 932.35 on 15-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 381.05 on 14-Aug-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 563.10 and Rs. 508.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4087.87 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.28%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.61% and 44.11% respectively.

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals has successfully started the commercial production of 32,000 TPA Poly Aluminium Chloride Plant (18% PAC) at Coelho Complex, Vadodara, on July 31, 2018. The estimated increase in top-line of the company by this production from this new plant is about Rs 33 crore.

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals is engaged in business of manufacturing basic chemicals such as sodium cyanide, sodium ferrocyanide, chloromethanes, hydrochloric acid, caustic potash, potassium carbonate, phosphoric acid (85%) and hydrogen peroxide.
