Brokerage house CLSA has upgraded Coal India to 'outperform' from 'underperform' earlier, with view that the improvement in production will help the company meet its FY13 target. While, the impact of large penalties, after fuel supply agreements (FSAs) with power companies, on earnings would be muted.
Coal India is currently trading at Rs 359.25, up by 5.00 points or 1.41% from its previous closing of Rs 354.25 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs 355.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs 361.50 and Rs 355.50 respectively. So far 234704 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 408.40 on 28-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 293.75 on 22-Dec-2011.
