Mamta may bite another bullet; likely to back Ansari as VP

The West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee who till date did not lend support to any of the Presidential candidate, had finally declared backing to UPA-II’s presidential candidate - Pranab Mukherjee and now there is a buzz that she may extend support to the Vice Presidential candidature of Hamid Ansari too. Banerjee had refused to support Mukherjee as well as BJP’s candidate P A Sangma.

Hamid Ansari had completed his term as Vice-President and has today filed the nomination paper for the same position in the highest office of India.

Trinmool Congress chief who was earlier adamant for not supporting UPA-II’s candidate has reportedly decided to bite this bullets in the interest of people of debt-ridden state of West Bengal and also for the sake of democracy.
