Facor Steels, part of Ferro Alloys Corporation, has restarted manufacturing activities at its mini steel plant located at MIDC Industrial in Nagpur. Maharashtra Pollution Control Board has withdrawn the closure direction after considering the representation made by the company officials in the hearing in its office on July 18, 2012.
Earlier on July 11, 2012, the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board directed the company to shut its manufacturing facility in Nagpur. The closure notice was issued by the board’s Regional Office for violating its directions. The company complied with the directions and closed down its manufacturing activities with immediate effect.
