Idea Cellular moves up on completing merger with Vodafone India

Idea Cellular is currently trading at Rs. 50.25, up by 0.40 points or 0.80% from its previous closing of Rs. 49.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 52.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 53.00 and Rs. 50.00 respectively. So far 2538675 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 118.00 on 05-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.40 on 18-Jul-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 53.00 and Rs. 48.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 21930.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.56%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.98% and 19.46% respectively.

Idea Cellular and Vodafone India have completed the merger and to be called Vodafone Idea. Both the companies to create the country’s largest telecom company with 408 million active subscribers and a revenue market share of 32.2%. The merger is expected to generate Rs 14,000 crore annual synergy, including OPEX synergies of Rs 8,400 crore, equivalent to a net present value of approximately Rs 70,000 crore.

Idea Cellular is an AV Birla group company and provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level.
