Zee Entertainment Enterprises (ZEEL) and Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm, Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) are reportedly in preliminary discussion to resolve logjam over content pricing on Reliance Jio’s platform.
Earlier, ZEEL had removed all its content from Jio, which includes 35 live TV channels and more than 200,000 hours of video-on-demand content, after both the companies failed to agree on content pricing.
ZEEL is one of India’s leading television media and entertainment companies. It is amongst the largest producers and aggregators of Hindi programming in the world.
