Tea Board announces subsidy for replanting and renovation

The subsidy for replanting and renovation for the different regions has been declared by Tea Board on the basis of revised estimation of cost made by Nabard (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development). The subsidy is effective from current fiscal.

The subsidy for both replanting and rejuvenation will be paid in two installments. For replanting, subsidy will be based on the estimated cost i.e. Rs. 3,69,500 a hectare. On these, 25% should be given out as subsidy in the two installments in the ratio 60:40, upon the completion of planting. For rejuvenation, installments will be made depends upon the completion of pruning and infilling.
