NMDC gains on planning to invest Rs 6,500 crore towards capex in FY19, FY20

NMDC is currently trading at Rs. 117.50, up by 0.45 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 117.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 119.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 119.00 and Rs. 115.10 respectively. So far 214881 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 162.55 on 08-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 93.50 on 19-Jul-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 119.85 and Rs. 110.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 37207.35 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.43%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.03% and 4.53% respectively.

NMDC is planning to invest nearly Rs 6,500 crore during FY19 and FY20 towards capex even as the company is expected to start production from its upcoming 3-million tonnes per annum capacity steel plant at Nagarnar Chhattisgarh in FY20. The company aims to invest Rs 3185 crore in FY19 and Rs 3290 crore in FY20 on capex. In the last year, the company invested Rs 2800 on capex.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
