HDFC increases retail prime lending rate by 10 bps

Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) has increased its retail prime lending rate (RPLR), on which its Adjustable Rate Home Loans (ARHL) are benchmarked, by 10 basis points (bps) with effect from October 1, 2018. The new rates vary from 8.80 to 9.05 per cent on various slabs of loans.

HDFC offers a whole gamut of products like loans to individuals, loans to corporates, construction finance, and lease rental discounting. The financial conglomerate has subsidiaries and associates in insurance (general and life), asset management, education finance, venture funds and banking services.
