Graphite India is currently trading at its upper circuit limit of Rs. 829.20, up by 39.45 points or 5.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 789.75 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 824.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 829.20 and Rs. 824.60 respectively. So far 4611 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1126.40 on 14-Aug-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 429.00 on 12-Oct-2017.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 837.00 and Rs. 765.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 15429.79 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.22%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.73% and 20.06% respectively.
Graphite India has decided to halt operations in its Bengaluru graphite electrode plant by halting the furnaces in a sequential manner by October end, during the ongoing revamp work for the replacement of roof sheets. The revamping work would be completed by end November 2018.
The company intends to make up for the production loss during the aforesaid period at its other production facilities and expects total production level to remain unchanged.
