Sundaram-Clayton moves up the BSE

Sundaram-Clayton is currently trading at Rs. 3865.55, up by 115.55 points or 3.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 3750.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 3800.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 3939.00 and Rs. 3800.00 respectively. So far 232 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 6195.00 on 27-Oct-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3700.00 on 27-Sep-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4000.00 and Rs. 3750.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7848.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.14% and 8.86% respectively.

Sundaram-Clayton (SCL) has inaugurated a new foundry at Oragadam, near Chennai, in Tamil Nadu. The Oragadam plant has been set up with an investment of over Rs 150 crore. This major capacity expansion aims to meet the rapidly growing demand for its products from the automotive industry and will primarily serve Hyundai Motor India. With a capacity of 8000 tonnes, the plant will produce machined castings ranging from 1.9 kgs to 7.2 kgs.

Sundaram-Clayton is one of the largest automotive components manufacturer in India. The product range of the company includes Crankcase, cylinder head, cylinder barrel and wheel hub castings for two wheelers.
