Himachal Futuristic Communications (HFCL) has received an Advance Purchase Order worth approximately Rs 366.36 crore from Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL), New Delhi. The scope of work under the above contract inter-alia includes survey, procurement, supply, trenching, laying, installation, testing and maintenance of optical fiber cables, accessories and GPON equipment in the State of Assam under BharatNet Phase-II Network of Government of India under Package AS-1.
The aforesaid contract also includes Operation and Maintenance Services for a period of seven years after the warranty of one year. Under this Package, around 601 Gram Panchayats in 58 Blocks will get Broadband connectivity.
