Pfizer shines despite reporting 14% fall in Q2 net profit

Pfizer is currently trading at Rs. 2865.00, up by 86.25 points or 3.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 2778.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 2815.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 2866.80 and Rs. 2808.00 respectively. So far 418 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 3840.00 on 29-Aug-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1865.00 on 29-Nov-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 2,893.20 and Rs. 2755.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12877.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.92%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.60% and 20.48% respectively.

Pfizer has reported 13.81% fall in its net profit at Rs 95.80 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2018 as compared to Rs 111.15 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 6.39% at Rs 556.80 crore for Q2FY19 as compared Rs 594.82 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Pfizer has produced innovative breakthroughs in a wide range of research areas, including depression, erectile dysfunction, high cholesterol, HIV infection, hypertension, bacterial infections and systemic fungal infections.
