Most of the Asian market indices are trading in green on Friday on the back of positive cues from Wall Street. Though, the fresh uncertainties emerging from the UK overnight after multiple important ministers resigned from Prime Minister Theresa May's government capped some gains. The Japanese market is trading lower as investors turned cautious with conflicting reports about progress in US-China trade talks. Among the other Asian markets, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Indonesia, Shanghai and Malaysia are higher. Bucking the trend, Taiwan is lower.
Straits Times gained 27.77 points or 0.90% to 3,082.30, KOSPI Shares added 9.12 points or 0.43% to 2,097.18, Shanghai Composite increased 18.87 points or 0.70% to 2,687.04, Hang Seng jumped 86.99 points or 0.33% to 26,190.33, Jakarta Composite rose 85.52 points or 1.42% to 6,041.26, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI up by 11.66 points or 0.69% to 1,705.87.
