ACC jumps on reporting 26% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

ACC is currently trading at Rs. 1307.00, up by 46.00 points or 3.65% from its previous closing of Rs. 1261.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1285.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1308.70 and Rs. 1285.20 respectively. So far 39,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1421.95 on 10-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 948.00 on 08-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1,308.70 and Rs. 1248.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 24,538 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.30% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.51% and 19.19% respectively.

On standalone basis, the company has posted a rise of 24.16% in its net profit at Rs 417.93 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 336.59 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 16.67% at Rs 2893.54 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2480.09 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

On consolidated basis, the company has posted a rise of 26.33% in its net profit at Rs 414.52 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 328.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 16.09% at Rs 3037.47 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2616.44 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
