RIL’s telecom arm launches international inbound roaming on VoLTE from Japan

Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm -- Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has launched inbound international roaming services on VoLTE network between India and Japan, allowing Japanese travellers in India to avail Jio’s VoLTE network. With this Jio has become India's first 4G mobile operator to provide VoLTE based international roaming services in India whereby international roamers will be enjoying HD (High definition) voice and LTE high speed data.

Japan-based KDDI Corporation has become the first international mobile service provider to avail of Jio's VoLTE calling and LTE data international roaming service.

Reliance Industries is India’s largest private sector company. The company’s activities span hydrocarbon exploration and production, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals, retail and 4G digital services.
