Oil and Natural Gas Corporation’s (ONGC) natural gas production has hit an all-time high of about 70 million standard cubic meters (mmscmd) per day as it doubles up efforts to raise domestic output to curb imports. The company has produced about 64 mmscmd of gas in November last year and this year the output is close to touching 70 mmscmd.
ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
