Crompton Greaves (CG) has completed the acquisition of 100% shares of ZIV Group for an enterprise value, which is equivalent to Euro 150 million. This acquisition will expand the CG portfolio for power system automation and protection and creates a strong platform for the company in the smart grid arena.

ZIV is engaged in the design, engineering, manufacturing and support of Intelligent Electrical Devices (IEDs) and Automation systems for Utilities and Industries. It’s offering span from substation and distribution automation, to advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).

ZIV operates in more than 50 countries, with major operations located in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), India (Bangalore), Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao) and the USA (Chicago). ZIV, created in 1993, has installed more than 1.4 million IEDs for Utilities and Industries across the world.

Crompton Greaves is engaged in designing, manufacturing and marketing electrical products and services related to power generation, transmission and distribution.
