Bharti Airtel’s arm eyeing to set up 10 new data centres: Report

Bharti Airtel’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Nxtra Data is reportedly eyeing to set up 10 new data centres with four being planned in Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai. The data centre business prospects huge demand from over-the-top (OTT) content players and big cloud service providers.

This is part of the company’s strategy to become the country’s largest data centre company by providing its infrastructure to global players like Microsoft and app makers, among others.

Bharti Airtel is a leading integrated telecommunications company with operations across Asia and Africa.
