Alstom T&D India rises on reporting 27.49% jump in Q1 net profit

Alstom T&D India is currently trading at Rs. 180.00, up by 1.20 points or 0.67% from its previous closing of Rs. 178.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 179.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 182.00 and Rs. 173.35 respectively. So far 9,172 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 207.00 on 29-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 132.50 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 187.00 and Rs. 173.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4,303 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.40% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.30% and 11.31% respectively.

On standalone basis, the company has posted a rise of 27.49% in its net profit at Rs 23.00 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 18.04 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 1.06% to Rs 675.52 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 668.45 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

Alstom T&D India is part of Alstom Grid, a global player in electrical grids. Company’s India operations account for over 13% of overall revenues garnered by Alstom Grid’s global operations. Apart from India business, other major contributors are the operations in France, the US, Germany and China.
