Pfizer trader higher on the BSE

Pfizer is currently trading at Rs. 2890.00, up by 11.25 points or 0.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 2878.75 on the BSE.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.92%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.60% and 20.48% respectively.

Pfizer’s parent company -- Pfizer Inc., USA, and GlaxoSmithKline pie have entered into an agreement to create a premier global consumer healthcare company. The Boards of Directors of both companies have unanimously approved the transaction under which Pfizer will contribute its consumer healthcare business to GlaxoSmithKline’s existing consumer healthcare business.

Pfizer Inc. USA that the portfolio of this Joint Venture Company will not include the brands Corex, Gelusil and Becosules. These brands will continue to be marketed by Pfizer in India.
