Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) has received an approval from the Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC) to manufacture weaponised version of Light Combat Aircraft (LCA) Tejas for the Indian Air Force. The first such aircraft is expected to be out by the year-end.
HAL is Bengaluru based Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSU) company engaged in the design, development, manufacture, repair, overhaul, upgrade and servicing of a wide range of products including, aircraft, helicopters, aero-engines, avionics, accessories and aerospace structures.
