Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea holds up despite reporting net loss in Q1FY13

Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea is currently trading at Rs 111.15, up by 1.20 points or 1.09% from its previous closing of Rs 109.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 110.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs 111.50 and Rs 110.00 respectively. So far 587 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 151.45 on 04-Aug-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 100.00 on 05-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 120.00 and Rs 109.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 385.27 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.51% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.69% and 20.80% respectively.

Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea has reported a net loss of Rs 6.73 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to a net profit of Rs 16.29 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income from operation of the company has declined marginally at Rs 487.06 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 487.11 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea is the flagship company of the Kolkata based Dhunseri group belonging to Dhanuka family. The company is engaged in cultivation, manufacture and sale of tea with 11 tea gardens (all of them located in and around Assam) and manufacturing of PET resins.
