ACC declines on reporting 8.37% fall in July output

ACC is currently trading at Rs. 1307.25, down by 10.05 points or 0.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 1317.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1307.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1311.45 and Rs. 1305.00 respectively. So far 5211 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1421.95 on 10-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 948.00 on 08-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1329.00 and Rs. 1290.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 24538.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.30% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.51% and 19.19% respectively. 

Cement major, ACC’s cement production in July 2012 has decreased by 8.37% at 1.86 million tonne, as against 2.03 million tonne in the year-ago period. The company's dispatches in the month were down by 6.46% at 1.88 million tonne, as against 2.01 million tonne in same month last year.

On cumulative basis, for the January-July period this year, its production increased 3.58% at 14.72 million tonne as against 14.21 million tonne in the year-ago, while its dispatches for the same period surged 3.45% at 14.68 million tonne as against 14.19 million tonne in the corresponding period.

ACC is India’s foremost manufacturer of cement and concrete. The company’s operations are spread throughout the country with 14 modern cement factories, more than 30 ready mix concrete plants, 20 sales offices, and several zonal offices.
