Moser Baer India reports net loss of Rs 121.90 crore in Q1

Moser Baer India has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.

On standalone basis, the company has reported a net loss of Rs 121.90 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 against net loss of Rs 92.21 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal. Total income decreased by 13.52% at Rs 471.65 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 545.40 crore in the year-ago period.

Moser Baer India is second largest manufacturer of optical storage media like CDs and DVDs in the world. It is first to market the next generation Blue-ray Discs and HD DVDs. It has diversified itself into areas of solar energy, home entertainment and IT peripherals and consumer electronics.
