Tata Investment Corporation shines on reporting 21% rise in Q1 net profit

Tata Investment Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 442.35, up by 1.85 points or 0.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 440.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 441.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 442.55 and Rs. 439.75 respectively. So far 1,125 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 542.00 on 09-Sep-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 396.00 on 24-Nov-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 445.00 and Rs. 427.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2,437 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.02% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.37% and 20.61% respectively.

On standalone basis, the company has reported a rise of 21.23% in its net profit at Rs 31.46 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 25.95 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  Total income of the company has increased by 21.78% to Rs 41.55 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 34.12 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
