Coal India’s arm reports 10.1% growth in production in April-January FY19

Coal India’s subsidiary -- Northern Coalfields (NCL) has reported 10.1% and 6.4% growth in production and offtake, respectively, during the April-January period of current fiscal year (FY19). The company has produced 83.87 million tonne (MT) of coal and dispatched 84.70 MT in the ten-month period.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
