V-Guard Industries trades jubilantly on reporting 67% rise in Q1 net profit

V-Guard Industries is currently trading at Rs. 366.40, up by 30.40 points or 9.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 336.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 338.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 366.60 and Rs. 338.00 respectively. So far 2, 82,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 366.60 on 06-Aug-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 141.25 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 366.60 and Rs. 299.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,093 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.38% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.64% and 22.98% respectively.

On standalone basis, the company has reported a rise of 67.34% in its net profit at Rs 20.65 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 12.34 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  Total income of the company has increased by 37.07% to Rs 329.14 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 240.13 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

Guard Industries manufactures a range of products namely voltage stabilizers, pumps, electric water heaters, solar water heaters, cables, UPS, ceiling fans, etc. The company also conducts research and development initiatives for electronic products, electric geysers, electro-mechanical products, electrical wires and solar water heaters.
