ABB rises as Q2 net profit surges by 33%

ABB is currently trading at Rs. 811.70, up by 6.75 points or 0.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 804.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 802.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 814.50 and Rs. 802.00 respectively. So far 4,506 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 915.00 on 17-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 541.10 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 814.70 and Rs. 778.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 17,200.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.17% and 8.83% respectively.

On standalone basis, the company has reported a rise of 33.34% in its net profit at Rs 51.63 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 38.72 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 9.67% to Rs 1885.21 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1719.03 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
