Varun Beverages gains on getting nod to raise capital up to Rs 1,500 crore through QIP

Varun Beverages is currently trading at Rs. 800.00, up by 7.80 points or 0.98% from its previous closing of Rs. 792.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 783.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 800.00 and Rs. 781.50 respectively. So far 4122 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 849.00 on 21-Sep-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 592.80 on 23-Mar-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 819.00 and Rs. 772.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14530.08 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.56%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.78% and 7.66% respectively.

Varun Beverages has received an approval to raise capital up to Rs 1,500 crore through Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP). The Board of Directors of the company in their meeting held on February 26, 2019, approved the same.

Varun Beverages is a key player in beverage industry and one of the largest franchisee of PepsiCo in the world (outside USA).
