HUL leads the gainers of BSE FMCG space

Hindustan Unilever is currently trading at Rs 483.95, up by 8.00 points or 1.68% from its previous closing of Rs 475.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 477.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs 486.75 and Rs 476.05 respectively. So far 97213 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 478.60 on 08-Aug-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 310.00 on 16-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 478.60 and Rs 465.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 104765.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.50% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.94% and 17.56% respectively.

The other gainers on BSE “FMCG” space were ITC up by 1.15%, United Spirits up by 0.81%, Godrej Industries up by 0.62%, Tata Global up by 0.58% and Colgate Palmolive up by 0.49%.

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) registered a surge of 112.26% in its net profit at Rs 1331.19 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 627.16 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Moreover, the total income of the company has increased by 16.99% at Rs 6597.38 crore for Q1FY13 as compared Rs 5639.46 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year
