NMDC surges on signing pact with Geological Survey of India

NMDC is currently trading at Rs. 108.35, up by 1.65 points or 1.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 106.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 107.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 108.55 and Rs. 107.30 respectively. So far 23843 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 126.70 on 16-Mar-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 86.45 on 06-Dec-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 108.00 and Rs. 101.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 33758.71 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.43%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 22.87% and 4.70% respectively.

NMDC has signed a pact with Geological Survey of India (GSI) for mineral exploration in Madhya Pradesh. The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) has been signed for sharing of aero-geophysical data (Magnetic) for mineral exploration in part of obvious geological potential (OGP Block-2) in Madhya Pradesh. The company has already identified 45 target areas for drilling for diamondiferous kimberlites in Madhya Pradesh.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
