Physical Rubber prices witness firmness on Thursday

Physical Rubber prices showed firmness on Thursday. The market regained strength on covering purchases as sellers stayed back owing to supply concerns in the market.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 127.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 127/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained Rs 124/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 123/ kg.

In the futures market, April delivery fell to Rs 131.48 compared to its previous closing of Rs 131.88, while May delivery was at Rs 133.98 compared to its previous close of Rs 133.87 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
