JSW Steel is reportedly aiming to raise $500 million through issue of dollar bonds in a bid to part-finance its expansion plans. Investors outside the US can invest in those debt securities and the bonds may be of five-year maturity. The company would utilize the proceeds to expand production capacity at its Vijayanagar plant in Karnataka.
JSW Steel is one of the largest steel manufacturing companies in India having units in Karnataka and Maharashtra producing crude steel, long steel and flat steel products.
