Asian markets trade mostly higher in early deals on Wednesday

Asian equity benchmarks are trading mostly higher in the early deals on Wednesday, followed by the optimism as the reports pointed that China's economy grew more than expected in the first three months of the year. Meanwhile, Japanese Nikkei also in green tacking positive trade from Wall Street amid healthy earnings. Indonesia market remained shut for the trade today due to election day. Among the other Asian markets, Singapore, Taiwan, and Shanghai are in positive lead. Bucking the trend, Hong Kong, South Korea and Malaysia are in negative territory.

Nikkei 225 up 59.46 points or 0.27% to  22,281.12, Straits Times climb 15.88 points or 0.48% to 3,347.92, Taiwan Weighted rose 62.16 points or 0.57% to 10,990.01, and Shanghai Composite jump by 0.16 points to 3,253.76.

Hang Seng decrease 67.40 points or 0.22% to 30,062.47, KOSPI Shares down 0.25 points or 0.01% to 2,248.38, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI dip by 11.43 points or 0.70% to 1,618.03.
