Bond yields traded higher on Monday, as traders remained concerned with a private report that business sentiments continue to decline for the country's financial and macro-economic conditions in the second quarter of the year compared to the same period a year before.

In the global market, US Treasury yields fell on Thursday, undermined by weak manufacturing surveys around the world that boosted concerns about a global slowdown. Furthermore, oil prices jumped on Monday as the US looked set to announce that all buyers of Iranian oil must end their imports or be subject to sanctions.

Back home, the yields on new 10 year Government Stock were trading 7 basis points higher at 7.49% from its previous close of 7.42% on Thursday.

The benchmark five-year interest rates were trading 15 basis points higher at 7.40% from its previous close of 7.25% on Thursday.
