Govt. assures safety for North East people

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, Sushma Swaraj on Friday expressed her anguish at the exodus of northeastern people from Pune, Bangalore and other major cities and suggested parliament to stand united for tackling the northeast issue and also requested them to set up of help lines and patrols for northeastern people.

On behalf of these, the two houses of parliament recently suspended question hour to discuss on the Assam crisis and its fallout and promised that the people of the North East will be safe anywhere in the country. The parliament also added that without being panic on rumors, people should go back to their places of work and study. Adding to these, the government promised to track down those who triggered panic among North-Eastern students in Bangalore and other cities by sending out threatening and incendiary SMSes and in case if found, wouldn't be spared off.

As a preventive measure,  the government has banned bulk text messages in such a way that no one in the country can send an SMS to more than five people in one go and various sorts of security measures have been taken up in those cities and also the surveillance of websites and social networking sites is arranged.
