Physical rubber prices gains further on Friday

Physical rubber prices made further gains on Friday on fresh buying and short covering tracking the overall gains in domestic and international futures.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety continued to improve to Rs 172/kg compared to its previous close of Rs 170/kg, while RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 165/kg compared to its previous close of Rs 161/kg.

In the futures market, contract of RSS-4 September delivery increased to Rs 171.70 compared to its previous close of Rs 169.38, while October delivery closed at Rs 169.85 compared to its previous close of Rs 167.79 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange.
