Straits Times decreased 121.22 points or 3.57% to 3,271.07, Hang Seng declined 994.81 points or 3.31% to 29,086.74, Taiwan Weighted down by 215.33 points or 1.94% to 10,880.97, Jakarta Composite tumbled 68.11 points or 1.08% to 6,251.35, Shanghai Composite slipped by 159.69 points or 5.19% to 2,918.65, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI down by 11.40 points or 0.70% to 1,625.90.
