Physical Rubber prices witness firmness on Monday

Physical Rubber prices showed firmness on Monday due to improved demand from domestic stockists against ongoing supply crunch in the market. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 133/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 131.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained Rs 130/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 129.50/ kg.

In the futures market, June delivery fell to Rs 136.43 compared to its previous closing of Rs 137.88, while July delivery was at Rs 138.05 compared to its previous close of Rs 138.81 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
