Physical Rubber prices witness firmness on Wednesday

Physical Rubber prices showed firmness on Wednesday due to improved demand from domestic stockists against ongoing supply crunch in the market. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety rose to Rs 134.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 134/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety gained Rs 132/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 131/ kg.

In the futures market, June delivery rose to Rs 137.75 compared to its previous closing of Rs 136.20, while July delivery was at Rs 139.31 compared to its previous close of Rs 138.41 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
