Physical Rubber prices witness some firmness on Thursday

Physical Rubber prices showed some firmness on Thursday due to improved demand from domestic stockists against ongoing supply crunch in the market. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety jumped to 135/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 134.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 132/ kg.

In the futures market, June delivery rose to Rs 137.46 compared to its previous closing of Rs 136.72, while July delivery was at Rs 139.50 compared to its previous close of Rs 138.72 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
