Havells gains despite reporting 8% fall in Q4 net profit

Havells India is currently trading at Rs. 732.80, up by 6.95 points or 0.96% from its previous closing of Rs. 725.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 731.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 737.00 and Rs. 714.35 respectively. So far 171385 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 782.70 on 01-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 520.60 on 28-Jun-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 766.95 and Rs. 714.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45778.36 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.55%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.74% and 8.71% respectively.

Havells India has reported a fall of 8.39% in its net profit at Rs 206.83 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 as compared to Rs 225.76 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 8.68% at Rs 2,782.81 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2,560.64 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018.

For the year ended March 31, 2019, the company has posted a rise of 11.09% in its net profit at Rs 791.52 crore as compared to Rs 712.52 crore for the previous year. Total income of company increased 21.58% at Rs 10,185.17 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 8,377.26 crore for year ended March 31, 2018.

For the year ended March 31, 2019, on the consolidated basis, the company has posted rise of 18.85% in its net profit at Rs 785.54 crore as compared to Rs 660.97 crore for the previous year. Total income of company increased by 21.64% at Rs 10,202.08 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 8,386.91 crore for year ended March 31, 2018
