Alstom T&D India’s France-based parent company Alstom SA has bagged approximately 400 million Euro’s contract from Power Grid. As per the contract, company will deliver 800 kV UHVDC thyristor valves, 32 converter transformers, 400/220 kV gas-and air-insulated switchgear and substation equipment, communication and supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA).

The contract work consist of overall project management, studies, design, engineering, training, manufacture, civil works at site, erection, site testing and commissioning.

On standalone basis, the company has posted a rise of 27.49% in its net profit at Rs 23.00 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 18.04 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 1.06% to Rs 675.52 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 668.45 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
