Reliance Industries gains with its telecom arm reporting Rs 9,839 crore AGR for March quarter

Reliance Industries is currently trading at Rs. 1284.75, up by 6.40 points or 0.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 1278.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1284.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1289.75 and Rs. 1282.75 respectively. So far 69402 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1417.00 on 03-May-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1017.00 on 25-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1290.20 and Rs. 1245.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 816156.16 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 47.27%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.43% and 16.29% respectively.

Reliance Industries’ (RIL) telecom arm -- Reliance Jio Infocomm (Jio) has continued its lead over other telecom service providers in adjusted gross revenue (AGR) for the March 2019 quarter at about Rs 9,839 crore.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India's (Trai) latest data showed that Jio's AGR rose 3.76 per cent sequentially to Rs 9,838.9 crore at the end of March 2019. However, quarter-on-quarter, AGR growth for Jio this time was lower than 14.6 per cent rise it had experienced in the December quarter.
