Grindwell Norton rises on executing definitive agreement with Shinagawa Refractories

Grindwell Norton is currently trading at Rs. 596.50, up by 7.80 points or 1.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 588.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 596.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 596.50 and Rs. 596.50 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 613.95 on 23-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 471.80 on 29-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 605.00 and Rs. 571.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6604.45 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.32%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.86% and 21.81% respectively.

Grindwell Norton has executed a definitive agreement with Shinagawa Refractories, Japan on July 11, 2019, to form a Private Limited Company for Tap hole clay refractory products for the steel industry. The company will hold 49% and Shinagawa Refractories, Japan will hold 51% in the Private Limited Company.

Grindwell Norton is India’s leading manufacturer of abrasives (bonded, coated, non-woven, superabrasives and thin wheels) and silicon carbide. It also manufactures and markets high performance refractories and performance plastics products.
