Tata steel BSL reports around 7% rise in crude steel production in Q1 FY20

Tata Steel BSL has reported crude steel production of 1.12 million tonnes (MT) (Provisional) in Q1 FY20 as against 1.05 MT (Actual) in Q1 FY19. The production has increased by around 7% on Y-o-Y basis; driven by higher mill availability.

Besides, the saleable steel sales were at 0.86 MT (Provisional) in Q1 FY20 as compared to 0.85 MT (Actual) in Q1 FY19. The sales remained almost flat amidst sluggish demand in domestic and international steel markets.
