Coal India records lower coal production, coal offtake in July

Coal India (CIL) has reported the provisional production and offtake performance of the CIL and its Subsidiary companies for the month of July 2019.

Coal production stood lower by 5.1% at 38.50 million tonnes in July 2019 compared to 40.58 million tonnes in July 2018.

Coal offtake was lower by 2.9% at 46.82 million tonnes in July 2019 compared to 48.19 million tonnes in July 2018.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
