Physical Rubber prices witness weakness on Wednesday

Physical Rubber prices showed weakness on Wednesday, amid sluggish demand from tyre makers, while expectations of a rise in imports too added pressure on rubber prices. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety declined to 141.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 142.50/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety fell to 138/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 139/ kg.

In the futures market, September delivery rose to Rs 137.10 compared to its previous closing of Rs 136.61 on the Indian Commodity Exchange Limited (ICEX).
